Description:

This role is responsible for managing end-to-end techno-commercial procurement activities for manufacturing projects. The position oversees strategic sourcing, vendor management, techno-commercial evaluations, commercial negotiations, procurement planning, and contract administration to ensure timely availability of materials and services while optimizing cost, quality, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end CAPEX procurement activities for manufacturing equipment, utilities, infrastructure, and project-related requirements.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project execution plans, timelines, budgets, and business objectives.
  • Source domestic and international suppliers for manufacturing equipment and technology packages while ensuring technical and commercial competitiveness.
  • Conduct detailed techno-commercial evaluations, including technical compliance, commercial comparison, vendor capability assessment, and cost analysis.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and contract finalization covering pricing, payment terms, warranties, delivery schedules, and contractual obligations.
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives through strategic sourcing, value engineering, and supplier negotiations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, OEMs, and contractors to build a reliable vendor network.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Projects, Finance, Legal, Production, and Stores teams to ensure seamless procurement execution.
  • Monitor procurement milestones, identify risks proactively, and implement mitigation plans to ensure timely project completion.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, statutory requirements, audit standards, and organizational procedures.
  • Manage procurement activities through SAP/ERP systems and maintain accurate vendor master data, purchase records, and contract documentation.
  • Prepare procurement MIS reports, spend analysis, vendor performance reports, procurement dashboards, and project status updates for management review.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency and operational excellence.
  • Perform any other responsibilities assigned by management from time to time.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • B.E./B. Tech (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline).
  • MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Materials Management, or Procurement is preferred.
